چکیده

The role of concurrent neoadjuvant endocrine therapy with chemotherapy in HR+HER2- breast cancer remains controversial. This systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to better assess the efficacy safety this strategy patients cancer. trials which were randomly assigned receive alone or eligible for inclusion. Prime endpoint pathological complete response (pCR) rate. Clinical (complete clinical response: CR, partial PR) secondary endpoints. A random effects model used perform statistical analyses. total 695 from five included. PCR rate 10.34% group 7.78% control (OR=1.40, 95%CI 0.71-2.75, P=0.33). CR 15.65% 10.20% (OR=1.66, 0.99-2.79, P=0.05). ORR (CR+PR) significantly higher than ( 79.42%(274/345) vs. 69.97%(240/343) , OR=1.69, 1.19-2.42, P=0.004) approach showed no heterogeneity(I2=0%, P=0.54) . Concurrent tamoxifen could potentially increase occurrence adverse events while aromatase inhibitors (AIs) would not. Our findings provide evidence as an available option achieve a compared low toxicity.

Background: Trastuzumab in combination with chemotherapy has long been established as a standard treatment for HER2-positive patients in early stage breast cancer (BC). The present study aimed at assessing the effectiveness of trastuzumab adjuvant therapy in early stage BC in overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS).    Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis was ...

Nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel as neoadjuvant chemotherapy of breast cancer: a systematic review and meta-analysis

BACKGROUND The value of nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel (nab-paclitaxel) in neoadjuvant systemic therapy for breast cancer remains uncertain. METHODS Both electronic databases and proceedings of oncologic meetings were included in systematic literature search. Pooled rates of pathological complete response (pCR), odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated using...

Toxicity of adjuvant endocrine therapy in postmenopausal breast cancer patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND Aromatase inhibitors are associated with consistent improvements in disease-free survival but not in overall survival. We conducted a literature-based meta-analysis of randomized trials to examine whether the relative toxicity of aromatase inhibitors compared with tamoxifen may explain this finding. METHODS We conducted a systematic review to identify randomized controlled trials t...
